New updates and features
Included in the enhancements this week, here are two changes that aim to obtain better results and save time:
A Gemba in Lean Six Sigma is a session where managers go to the workplace to observe reality. Some stories tell of managers standing in a yellow circle and not allowed to step out. Even if the temptation is great. The objective is to focus on the observation. The tempting interventions, quick fixes and sustainable mitigation is done later. The power of this is in seeing what is really happening. In most cases assumptions are proven to be inaccurate or simply wrong. It’s also visual, without hear say, raises questions and ideas. We wanted to include those strengths into Goal Nabber. We’ve added the ability to use pictures or images in the brainstorming feature. It can be used to capture observations during a Gemba session, or as a media to trigger better ideas. With more and better ideas, the existing features to process and present the ideas meaningfully are more likely to make your team work more productive and fun.
Immediately simulate and assess value for money of your project or initiative without delay or rework of numbers.
Finances isn’t everyone strength. It involves complex formulas and an understanding of the numbers to estimate wither an investment s worth while. And, the information used is continuously changing. Two common indicators are the Net Present Value and the Payback Period. Using the estimated cost and benefits list, Goal Nabber provides an estimation of the profit/loss brought back to current date. It also estimates the time to reach the break even point, when benefits exceed the cost. The Value Proposition includes calculations and incorporate the result into the graphic. This make it easier to have an immediate estimation. And, it also provides the ability to make simulations instantaneously. By making variations to the data, results are updated at the same time. It becomes easier to evaluate the areas that are riskier or offer the greatest opportunities.
